Josephine
I want soy to be my first reintro. I didn't see any guidelines specific to soy. Please offer advice. I have products in which the only non compliant ingredient is soybean oil. I like to eat a bowl of edamame salad creations once in awhile. I like fried tofu. And then there is soy sauce... I never even knew I liked soy sauce until I couldn't have it. So should I like bombard myself with soy for a day then stop? And do whole 30 again for a few days to see what happens? Have any of you reintroduced soy? Are there specific symptoms I should watch for? Thank you in advance.
GFChris
The guidelines on soy would be the same as other food groups. Have the item in question at all three meals in one day, keeping all else Whole30 compliant. Then go back to 100% Whole30 eating for 2 days, to allow for any delayed reactions. So, for example, on soy day, you could have edamame at breakfast, tofu at lunch and soy sauce at dinner. Here is the sample reintroduction schedule. I opted not to reintro soy myself. If you're missing soy sauce, you might want to look at coconut aminos instead.
