9/2 First Whole 30 Starter - Pushed the reset button!

Hi everyone,

I'm getting started on my first Whole30 today. I've been following a clean eating lifestyle for the last year, but wandered off course for the last 4 months or so. I gradually let things back into my eating that were unhealthy and I'd like to get back to a cleaner lifestyle. I'm using the Whole30 as a reset button! I'm also interested to truly test the impact of legumes, grains and dairy on my body so the reintroduction will be as important as the elimination. Good luck to all starters! We can do this!

Hi LMar, I'm starting my first Whole30 too!  I've been eating paleo-ish (good on weekdays, chocolate and ice cream on the weekends...) since the beginning of June, so hopefully that will help make the jump into Whole30 easier.  I need a reset too.  I have an extreme chemical sensitivity that has been rapidly getting worse, which is affecting me mentally and physically.  I really hope this helps.

I started my first Whole30 challenge today as well.  I've been eating Paleo and sucessful dropped 25lbs in the past year.  I hit a rough patch recently and need to reset.  I've given up my unhealthy Diet Pepsi addiction; this shows my strong committment to Whole30 and the plan.  Diet Pepsi is my drink of choice, morning, noon and night.  It's time to let it go.

Mine is diet Coke.  Even though I was following a paleo template the past few months, I still drank my diet Coke, all day every day!  It was easier to stop eating bread and pasta (and I love carbs!) then it's going to be to stop drinking diet Coke.

Hi everyone,  I started on Sept. 2 also.  I am 54 and have always tried to eat healthy and feel like I've done well.  I have never gone as far as completely giving up sugar, beans or dairy, I would use things that were healthier alternatives like stevia......I was not sure if I wanted to do this but I made the decision to do it in "honor" of a friend that is dying of cancer.  When I read, this is not hard, dying of cancer is hard, it was easier to consider.

I feel lucky because I am very stubborn and have tremendous will power once I make my mind up.  Having to drink black coffee bothers me more than giving up lots of things I eat, but I am going to miss cheeseI really want to do this 100% and hope to complete it.  I'm kind of nevous about after it's over.  I fear that since I don't have lots of weight to lose or lots of health issues that I won't notice a big change.

I am looking forward to this challenge and hope to learn new things along the way.  Thanks
