Started Sept 1, day 3 and found out about the "hangover"

I just started with Whole30 on the 1st of Sept.....everything on track and then this morning awakened by a killer headach (aka: like a hangover). Reading through blogs and noting it is completely normal for this symptom, day 3 is complete and I am super motivated to see what day 4 holds. I now have to plan out trips for grocery shopping which seems to take 5 times longer by reading all the ingredient labels. But I am enjoying my food a lot more. Noting that I had one craving for sugar last evening, then laughed it through, thinking about it made me feel like I was in rehab or something! Out to dissolve my sugar blues.

I started Sept 1st also. Have had a dull headache for a couple days but its much better today. This is my 3rd whole30 and I just wanted to share what works for me to avoid hours and hours in the grocery store. For me, cooking batches of protien and fresh veggies to eat throughout the week makes meals quick and easy. I eat the same things over and over but its only 4 weeks ; ) I have found that just buying meat and veggies cuts down on my shopping time. I don't buy anything packaged except bags of frozen, steamable veggies. That way, I'm not spending time reading labels.

Hope this helps!

Blessings-

Cat

I also started Sept. 1, and I've had an ever-worsening dull headache for the last two days. Aleve seems to work well, but I'm on my second dose today. Feeling very lethargic, too. I feel a little better now than I did this morning. My cravings are getting worse, but they aren't unbearable. Just today I had to turn down homemade cookies and a stash of free candy in the kitchen. I really want a glass (or two) of wine and something sweet though. Right now, I'm very happy I got rid of the wine and other stuff before I started.

I was starving when I left work, but needed to go to the grocery store. I got in and out as fast as I could. (Too much temptation. Why is the bakery next to the produce??) All I bought was seven avocados, a tray (about 30) of eggs, shredded carrots, watermelon chunks and salsa, which I've found to be a great ketchup substitute. I've given up on anything packaged being Whole30 compliant. I boiled a dozen eggs and threw some chicken breast in the stove for meals and snacks over the next few days. Now I'm ready to go to bed. But it's only 8:15 p.m.

I started September 1 also.  I've had some tolerable headaches, but other than that, I feel great!  I went to bed early Monday night (my first day in probably 20 years without caffeine!), but other than that I've been able to make it through the day without my beloved diet Cokes or any form of caffeine.  I am not having any cravings or carb flu or fatigue or anything.  I'm hoping I'm one of those lucky people who makes it though the 30 days without any of these terrible side effects described in the timeline, but at the same time, I'm almost expecting the other shoe to fall...
