San Francisco Breakfast options

n9vember

I appreciated the most recent San Francisco thread's option for W30-able eats (bookmarked a few of the places to try!), but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for breakfast? I'm going to be in San Francisco in 2 weeks, for about 4 days. I feel like I have a really good grasp on how I'm going to manage lunch and dinner. I also will have finished my Whole 30 (or 45, actually....), but I REALLY want to stay as compliant as is reasonably possible. (I cannot tell you how many clean eating stretches I have completely undone with vacations. I do NOT want to do that this time around.)

If I were to have chosen travel breakfast prior to W30, I would've either chosen Luna bars (portable, easy) or some sort of bread-y thing (muffin, bagel). I'm traveling solo (which I love), but dining solo (which I hate). So, I just want something kind of quick and convenient. If I have to sit down in a restaurant/cafe, I will reluctantly do so, but if there are any awesome takeaway options, where I can grab and go, I would like that better.

I supposed I could always rustle up some hard-boiled eggs and fruit somewhere, but if there are any great cafes or similar where I can have a mostly paleo experience, that would rock my world.

I will be in the Nob Hill area. And, I get crabby when I don't have coffee and food in the morning :)

Thanks!

I did a few days in San Fran in June and we found it really easy to walk into breakfast places and just do eggs, fruit and bacon. I was done with my W30 so wasn't worried if the bacon wasn't ideal. Have them throw in some avocado and your good to go. I also will cart in a travel mug with coconut milk already in it and just ask them to fill that with coffee. No one has ever batted and eye at that. There was a great french cafe in the Union Square area but I forget the logistics to Nob Hill and it wasn't "that great"

I also do Paleo Pacs or Paleo Kits for breakfast all the time. That would give you the I don't want to dine solo option

If your hotel has a fridge - leftovers from dinner could work

Thanks, NLK. I may have to check out the paleo pacs/kits. I think my hotel does not have fridges, which is a huge bummer. I do definitely want some coconut milk for my coffee. I really enjoy that. Maybe I could find mini-cans somewhere. I think I saw a French cafe on yelp near the area...can't remember the name. I bookmarked a place called Olea, that has some organic options and is relatively close to the hotel.
