chrissa
I am eight pounds down, and have about 67 to go to reach my goal weight. I am on day seven, consume about 2-3 servings of fruit daily, and am wondering if that is too much? What is the recommended amt.for one trying to.lose a lot of weight, or should I forego it altogether?
Moderators Tom Denham Posted August 15, 2012 Moderators Share Posted August 15, 2012 We usually say 1-2 servings of fruit is okay, so you are going a bit far with the fruit. However, we really need to know more to say. What are you eating overall - protein, fat, veggies? Are you eating veggies at every meal? Do you have sugar cravings? Eating fruit when you have sugar cravings is a bad idea. Many people think they ease sugar cravings with fruit, but what really happens is that fruit sustains the sugar cravings. And why are you eating fruit? Is it because there is lots of great fruit in season that you can buy cheap or is it just easy to eat fruit compared to veggies? One of the important things to know is that veggies are more nutrient dense than any fruit, so fruit should never crowd veggies off your plate.
