Food Processor - recommendations

I've just completed my first Whole30 and have had a fabulous experience. Both my boyfriend and I want to continue eating according to the main principles of the Whole30 as it's been such an eye opener on so many levels.

One thing we would like to purchase is either a food processor or at least a mini chopper. We love sweet potato hash and the hand grating is rather tedious.  ;) We would also like to try and make nut and seed butters in the future.

So I think we are looking for something that can grate finely, chop coarsly and puree, too.

One main issue is space... our kitchen is very small with little storage. Budgetwise, I think we'd like to stay around the £50 mark, but there's a bit of room with that.

Neither one of us has ever owned or even used a food processor, so any recommendation (brands, specific models, functions that are vital or at least desirable) would be great.

Thanks!  :)

I love my Kitchenaid.  Mind you I got it for a 1/3 the price from ebay.  It was normally $150 CAD machine and I paid less than $60 for it.  So if you can shop around for deals online.  They are worth it.  If you have a friend who is a bargain hunter recruit their help.  (That's what I did)

I love my Kitchenaid too!  It came with a shredder attachment which would be good for potatoes (I have used it to grate zucchini for zucchini bread, carrots for carrot cake...ahem...now I need to find new uses for the shredder!).  I recently bought a Black & Decker mini chopper, since I only cook for me, but I had to give it away because it smelled terrible when I used it.  Go with the Kitchenaid!  I think I have the 10 cup capacity, but they have a smaller 3 cup capacity size, and it comes in lots of colors!
