Starting 9/10...

Hello!

I am currently reading the book and gathering information, and I plan to start my Whole30 on 9/10. I struggle with the psychological aspects of food choices (compulsive eating), and I am interested in the thought that this could "reset" my relationship with food. I look forward to learning from everyone here and maybe someday being a resource myself!

Other information about me...I am in my upper 30s, divorced, a pet mom (I have a dog and a cat), child-free, a nurse, a yoga practitioner, a voracious reader, and a gym rat.

Hi Phoenix11Rising!

Congrats on choosing to do the W30!  I was also a complusive eater and while the urge isn't as strong, it is still there.  I think it's like any addiction, you just have to stay aware.  I find that if I always have healthy snacks with me that I am more likely to avoid face planting into a box of Krispy Kremes!

Best of luck and keep posting so that we can help you on your way to W30 health!

Hi :) I will be starting the W30 today and am looking for support and to support others. Do you mind if I join your group? I tried to complete W30 in June /July but my dad passed away on day 14 and I fell into a slump. I'm extremely motivated to try again. I felt great back in July but am such an emotional eater. I eat if I'm happy or sad...I love my sugar. I decided today is 2 months since his passing and no better time to start. I hope to post frequently and build a great buddy system! Thanks and good luck :) we've got this!!

I would love to buddy up with you! I am sorry to hear about your dad. I had been doing "well" with weight loss for about three years and then went through a messy divorce, and this sent me into a tailspin of binge eating and then trying to get "back on track" and then "failing" and then feeling bad about myself and then binge eating...I am sure you get the idea. I am excited to see if I can break these food addictions and really feed my body in the way it deserves!
