Rach_87
I started my first Whole30 on September 1st and on Sept 2nd I woke up with swollen tonsils. I put it down to being really run down and thought maybe I caught a bug from the kids. Under doctors orders I spent a few days eating nothing but soft things like yoghurt and custard. Yesterday, 9th Sept (here in Aus), I started again on the Whole30. Today, I woke up with swollen tonsils again. I'm not eating anything that I haven't had before so I know it's not an allergic reaction to something. Just curious if maybe it is because I've dropped the grains & sugar from my diet and my body is reacting badly. Or if it's just a total coincidence that it's happened both times on day 2. I guess my question is, has anyone else gotten sick like this when starting the Whole30??
Physibeth
This is quite unusual. Can you give us a little more context? What did you eat yesterday? How different is Whole30 than how you normally eat?
kitchencorporal
Something similar happened to me!! I started my W30 on Sept 6. On Sept 7 I woke up feeling like I had been run over by a truck. Weak, achy all over, headache...like I had the flu. The next day I felt better and the day after that better still..... but weird!!
