Hi Everyone!

 

I'm super excited to be embarking on this new journey. I ordered my book and am still waiting on it. I've found tons of great information on this site and the forums and just couldn't wait to get started. :)

 

I have been an emotional eater my entire life and have really struggled with my weight for the past 5 years. I gained 60 lbs with my pregnancy and after giving birth to my twin girls I was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid. It has been an uphill battle every since. 

 

I am ready to take charge of my health so I can be the best role model to my girls. :D

Oh yeah, I can't imagine quitting caffeine cold turkey. I drank my coffee black, which I never thought I could do...and it actually wasn't horrible. I think my headaches are contributed to the sugar.

 

No pain...no gain!

Hi Nina, I started on 9/1 and headaches are totally normal!  I thought I couldn't quit caffeine, but I've done without it so far, since I don't like tea or coffee and diet Coke is a big no-no!  I am also an emotional eater and am amazed at how quickly the draw to eat away my feelings disappeared - I hope you experience the same thing.  I am doing this due to health issues, and not just to look better, which is a bigger motivator!  For me, anyway.  :)

Hi AuntJane,

 

My headaches have luckily subsided. Today was my first day without coffee altogether...and so far so good. Like you, my emotional eating is also better, even non existant...not feeling that "need" for junk.
