ljd
Hello! This site is totally new to me, so bare with me. I started Sept. 8th and I would say successfully thus far. My biggest problem is breakfast. I don't always have the time to actually "cook" something... I found out about Whole30 from Woman's World and have been mainly following their sample menus, but I would love more! I lost 123lbs 24 years ago, and kept the weight off until about 5 years ago when my thyroid went crazy! Since then, I went back to old habits of emotional eating with a lot of sugar consumption. I regained 50 of the 123 and felt terrible. (Emotionally and physically) I came across Whole 30 and started almost a week ago. Haven't weighed myself since day 1, but am already feeling better! I can tell by my clothes that something is happening
KayKay
Congrats on your success so far! Maybe start by changing your view of breakfast, and think of it as just another meal. You don't have to eat "breakfast food," just eat food! Then you can have leftovers from the night before, if time is tight, as long as you're keeping it balanced. If that doesn't appeal to you, how about a big egg bake or a batch of egg cups/"muffins" that you cook once and eat all week? Breakfast patties are another option...but whatever you do, reframe breakfast as a sugary start to your day, and it will help.

I can tell by my clothes that something is happening Hi ljd and welcome to Whole30 and to the forums! Feel welcome to browse around and read up on how other people are doing Whole30. I wasn't aware that Women's World had done a feature on Whole30 - you might want to check their information against the book that originated Whole30, It Starts With Food. This book has everything you'll need to know to do a Whole30, plus the science behind it. As for breakfasts, these forums have several threads (online conversations) devoted to how to eat breakfast on Whole30. The easiest way to find them is to google Whole30 non egg breakfast and see what comes up. Here are a few that I found just now: http://forum.whole9life.com/topic/6774-non-egg-breakfast/ http://forum.whole9life.com/topic/21408-egg-free-breakfast-ideas/ If you click those links you'll get both ideas, and links to other threads with more ideas. Read up, eat up, and enjoy!
