Ramatoulie
I just started my third whole30, and unfortunately I'm grieving thru a loss right now. Grief has really destroyed my appetite, which I know is not usual for the first few days of a whole30. I'm not trying to lose weight really so I'm concerned about getting enough food. I try to eat three times a day but sometimes it's just hard to eat very much. I'm doing all my other Whole9 factors and I joined a grief support group, but my appetite just doesn't seem to be returning just yet. Any suggestions? GFChris
I'm very sorry that you're currently grieving a loss. Glad to hear you joined a support group. Grief is a tricky emotion: affects everyone differently. Some days you feel ok, others you feel out of sorts. In general, I would say give yourself LOTS of self care and compassion at this time. Be very gentle with yourself. That includes nourishing yourself with whole, nutrient-dense. food. Stay well-hydrated also. If you have to, for now, I'd suggest eating at least a mini meal of protein, veg and fat three times a day and work your way up to the recommended 1-2 palms of protein, 1-3 cups of veggies and appropriate amount of compliant fat at every meal. You might want to also take a look at this article on keeping weight on while on a Whole30.
