Petunia
Well guys I just fell face first into a tub of almond butter. Im on day 7 and have managed to stave off the post dinner sugar dragon, but couldnt do it today for some reason. I ate about half a can of almond butter mixed with 1.5 bananas and some cocoa powder. I knew almond butter is a food with no brakes for me, I never should have bought it. I feel so guilty and like a failure. I guess almond butter is out for me for the rest of the whole 30. Brewer5
I am on Day 10 of my 2nd Whole 30 -- and no nuts or seeds are allowed. Certainly no butters. Just know that you are not alone, and that you will be SO much better off without them. You most certainly are not a failure. We've all got issues, that's why we are here. Anything you know is food without brakes for you, get it out of your house -- pronto. It will be hard at first, but I promise you will feel SO much better. Good luck! papayarain
I have the same problem. I had to give almond butter the "It's not you, it's me" speech. I can't have it in the house. If I have a craving for it,then I pick up one of the single serving packets of Justin's almond butter.

Moderators ShannonM816 Posted September 15, 2014 Moderators Share Posted September 15, 2014 So some sugars are ok? I noticed that almond butter and Lara bars have 1g of Sugar Sugars listed in the ingredient list are never okay. Larabars have sugar listed in the nutrition facts because the dates and fruits in them have natural sugars, but as long as they don't have sugar listed in the ingredients, they're fine. (Also as long as they don't have other non-W30 compliant ingredients, so obviously peanut butter flavored ones are out). And if you want to see all the different names sugar may be listed under, check out this article.
