dlalrutz
I don't want to spend the whole next week making my eating habits worse, just for me to suffer more when I get rid of them for good. So I'm soft-starting now and not beating myself up if I can't do that well this week (I have a retreat next weekend with no control over food) but for real, no exceptions, starting next Monday. I want my dad to try this with me but he can't for awhile so I'm going to do my best on my own.
Sarahrulesthekitchen
You can do it with me (and maybe my husband)! I'm starting Tuesday; we're away this weekend too and I feel I need Monday to get really organized before starting. I'm hoping to mentally prep this weekend while I say good bye to wine. I've printed a ton off the website but am still deciding if I need the book. Do you have it? Did you sign up for the Daily 30?
AuntJane
A soft start is a good idea, IMO. I started eating Paleo-ish on June 1. Basically a Paleo diet M-F and treats on weekends. I started my first Whole30 on September 1 and did not experience ANY of the withdrawal symptoms many people experience - not even caffeine withdrawal, and I drank caffeine every day. I think it would have been much harder if I hadn't already changed my eating habits.
