There's no average, and we specifically ask you to take thirty entire days off of counting, imagining, evaluating, or guessing at calories.  You need to find out how much real food your body needs for optimal health, and calorie counting is a terrible way to do that.

 

Eat up, according to the template, and if you still feel the urge to calorie-count, you can do it on Day 31.  But you won't ever get an answer about calorie counts here in Whole30land.

 

1-2 palms of protein, 2-4 cups of veggies, a thumb-size or more of fat.  Eat that three times a day.  Or more if you're hungry.  Easy peasy, and enjoy!

Calories are meaningless. Seriously. Good science demonstrates that calories are meaningless. J Gnolls can be a little difficult to follow, but he has a series of articles on The Calorie Paradox that should convince you to forget about calories completely.
