Cocktail Sauce??

I go to a restaurant every Tuesday for oysters and was curious if anyone had any good whole30 cocktail sauce recipes? I love to put a little dab on each oyster and would love to bring some with me. Also, does anyone know if the horseradish they serve alongside the cocktail sauce is the root or a sauce and is it whole30 approved? Thanks!

When I look at horseradish sauces in the grocery store, about 1 out of 3 is compliant. It is impossible to make a judgement about the horseradish sauce at your restaurant without checking with them. And even then, there is risk. They can change vendors from one week to the next and you might go from using a grated horseradish in olive oil to one in soybean oil.

I've found restaurants will tell me exactly what's in their horseradish and usually have one mixed with dairy and another one that is pure grated horseradish.

The only one I've found to be compliant in stores is this one:

I've been making my own with grated horseradish root and lemon juice.

Here are some recipes for cocktail sauce:
