Brynn
I'm new to Whole30. Hi. I saw the list of what is allowable that they mentioned smoothies as not a good idea. What about juicing? More vegetables than fruit. Any thoughts?
Moderators Tom Denham Posted September 17, 2014 Moderators Share Posted September 17, 2014 Nope. We want you to eat your veggies and fruit. Liquid food fails to offer the same satiety signals as whole foods and digests faster. Both are problems.
Robin Strathdee
Juicing falls into the same category as smoothies - we really recommend against it
bede0713
I juiced regularly pre-whole30 (mainly veggies). I did it in part because my body was so broken from my UC that was one of the only things I could handle without getting sick. Since whole30 (I've completed two and ready to start a third) I've had a few green juices (not during a whole30) but nothing like before. I feel so much better now and I'm eating real food. If you're a regular juicer, give your whole30 a try without (as recommended) and see how you feel. I was one of the people that thought there was no way I would feel good without juicing regularly. I was wrong!
