HI ALL! My name is Ashley. Im 29yr old, married with 3 kiddos. My husband is the WORST influence on my eating habits. I was so much healthier before we got married, and i miss it. I just discovered Whole 30 last night, and im dedicating myself to at least 30 days!! Im very nervous about this, because i will be going through it totally alone. I dont have any close friends or family to do this with me. I guess this is where i prove to myself how awesome i am, huh? I am woman, hear me roar! =) ALL encouragements are welcomed!!!!

Congratulations! This is where you need to make the rules for your family and stick to them it can be hard when you change the rules and people may get upset. You need to do what works for you. I don't have children so you can take this with a grain of salt. I think breakfast and lunch will be easier, the kids can have cereal or sandwiches. I would make dinner whole30 and they have to eat it. Keep it simple and make things they like such as hamburgers, spaghetti and meatballs, baked chicken. Make the main part of the meal compliant and they can have bread, rice or pasta on the side. Another rule you might want to instill for 30 days is no junk food in the house. This doesn't mean you can't take the kids out for ice cream but maybe not have it in the house. It won't kill them. This might be too hard for your family so pick your battles. You can do it. You can find some amazing support here. Good Luck!

i wish that would work. my husband is intensely stubborn and got MAD when i mentioned clearing out all the junk food. He doesnt care how he eats (totinos pizza covered in nacho cheese), as long as it tastes good. Im on my own. Im officially on Day 2 now and i feel good. i dreamed about scrambled eggs all night, so i guess thats whats for breakfast lol.

That sucks that your husband isn't on board. I'm on day 4, and just wanted to say hello!

I had dinner with my aunt and uncle last night, but told them I was going to bring my own food, turns out, they didn't actually believe me. Made for a few awkward minutes as I explained that I couldn't eat 99% of the food they made.
