oshunaoma
Hi - just started my first whole30. I take a brand of digestive probiotics from costco that are gluten/soy/dairy free. However, the other ingredients are: cellulose, silicon dioxide, magnesium Stearte(veg source) titanium dioxide. I have been using them for over a month now & they have helped. What is anyone's take on this? Thanks!

stanfordgal
I just found out my doctor-recommended probiotic, VSL #3, meets criteria for gluten-free but has "trace" amounts of dairy and soy (they grow the bacteria on milk/soy products and remove as much as they can). Does anyone else use VSL #3 while doing the Whole30. Has anyone found a comparable probiotic (in terms of CFUs and diversity of probiotic strains) that is compliant? carmdupuy
Are the Pure brand probiotics acceptable? I'm on day 2 of whole 30 and am constipated?????
Physibeth
Are the Pure brand probiotics acceptable? I'm on day 2 of whole 30 and am constipated????? What does the ingredient list say? The one I found by doing a quick search lists rice starch which would make it non-compliant.
carmdupuy
I have to look and see. Thanks.
derpydawg
Raw sauerkraut can be purchased from many health food stores, and is also incredibly easy to make yourself.
Kayann
I was looking for a suggestions for a probiotic. The one suggested in the book is probably more than I need. "Ther-Biotic Complete is designed for individuals who require significantly higher amounts of several different types of probiotic species to help support intestinal health." I do know what to look for in a probiotic. Thanks
HockeyChick
You can also read the book Brain Maker by Dr. Perlmutter (the one who wrote Brain Grain). He talks about food sources and other things you can do to increase probiotics naturally. Hope this helps!
Mitch55
For whatever reason, my mind completely skipped over the supplements part... Now I have to scramble to find a good probiotic, as mine contains milk, and a good multi because that has soy... The local Natural Grocers doesn't have a multi with the B-12 form of Methylcobalamin or Hydroxycobalamin without a bunch of other stuff added... I don't want to delay my July 1 start, but also don't want to eat sauerkraut... Ever... And they call me German descent!!!

LizBeam
I bought the Jarrow Brand and took 1 pill on day 2 and it has "trace amounts of soy". I had just restarted my whole30 on day 4 because I ate a bison epic bar that contains cured bacon. Please tell me I don't have to restart again? I'm reading every label!!!! Thanks in advance guys!
