Hey everyone!

Im a full time ICU nurse and full time grad student. Life is stressful but I need to take better care of myself - my sugar addiction (and unfortunately,my weight) are out of control these days. Currently reading the whole30 book and so inspired by the effects clean/paleo eating can have on the body. Looking forward to changing my life :)

I'll need so much support! If anyone else wants the same, Im here to cheer you on :)

Hello fellow Whole30er's!

Carey, I too am starting today so we can support each other!  As a full time Mom, and full time Technology developer I too need this very badly.  My weight has ballooned and I pretty much always crave sugar.  I work full time from home in my office which has been such a great opportunity as a Mom and to get my workout time in.  However, I am very close to the kitchen and when work gets stressful I can run down and eat my stress away.  I don't like the person I see when I look in the mirror and I am constantly tired.  My energy level is just terrible.  So I am ready to focus on the Whole30 diet as well as doing some running and 30 Day Challenge DVD's.

Here's to changing my life and teaching my kids what a healthy lifestyle really looks like!

Hello, I'm starting today too!  I have my own business, just a small one and I teach, design and vend at shows and am getting my online presence started.  Lots of exciting things but... I have no energy, I ache and my weight is out of control.  My doctor wants me to see specialists for several things and I know that getting myself healthy will make a huge difference.

I really, really need this and have heard great results from friends and my son really encouraged me to do this, so here goes!

So Carey and everyone starting today, let's do this, let's get healthy and change our lives!

I'm starting today too! I tried to start on October 1 for my second round of Whole30 but with dates, wine and cheese nights, bbq's, etc. I dropped out really quick. I am working from home this month (executive assistant) so I find myself visiting the kitchen way too often. I'm ready to feel comfortable in my clothes and let go of my relationship with food!

I love these replies! Thanks for responding and introducing yourselves! I started my day with black coffee, 2 scrambled eggs with red peppers and spinach. Wooohoo. Here's to some start-up enthusiasm ;) I'm a serious sugar addict/binge eater so Im praying for some strength. Im sitting at my desk most days (when Im not working) studying or working on papers and presentations - so message me any time to vent or for support. Good luck <3

First day here!!! Even though I am going out of town later this month for a wedding, I know I need to start now. My life and body can't wait any longer. I have just developed fibromyalgia at age 30, and hope this stops the flare ups. Let's support each other through this 30 day process! 1 day at a time!

Yes!  I decided in the shower this morning (after a non-compliant breakfast) that something has to change.  I'm stressed out, maxed out, not sleeping, drinking too much, eating too much fast food, etc, etc.  My Whole30 is staring at 10:18 on 10/7.  This will be my 3rd.  Come on Tiger Blood!!  We can do this!

Starting today too! Had scrambled eggs with kale, mushrooms, peppers and tomatoes this morning for breakfast. Lunch is chicken breast over kale with carrots and fruit.  I also worked out this morning for 30 minutes and I might go for a run later tonight.  I just started a new job a few months ago and I am trying to finish my dissertation as well so I'm really busy and stressed out so I really need a change. My husband is being supportive and trying to do it with me as well. Let's see how this goes since I have a baby shower this weekend and I'm going out of town for work in a few weeks. Good luck!!

My sleep did not change much on my last Whole30 but I sure do hope it does for this one... I haven't slept an entire night in weeks!

Also, I went to trivia with a group of friends last night and I chose water while I watched them guzzle beer, ciders, fruity drinks, fries, and hamburgers! I was so proud of myself since saying "no" to temptations is my biggest struggle. Hopefully I remember how happy (and hydrated) I felt for next time! :)

Hi all, i am just checking in on this group now but i also started on the 7th. Am loving it so far, but i know it is probably easier because i have been trying to eat well for a while.. Like several others i am addicted to sugar!!! And the scale!!! Although my goal is a whole lot more than just loosing weight, I find it really hard to stay off it. I may have to send it on a vacation for the month!

So, 4 days in, how is everyone doing?

debij777, I'm doing surprisingly well even though I'm battling a lot of personal issues. I decided that despite all the challenges I'm facing, food would not fix my problems. Actually, food would probably make things worse since it'd leave me with a bellyache!

My exercise energy level has gone way down because my body feels sore 24/7 but I was expecting that since it happened last time too.

I'm addicted to sugar too. I have been craving SO many fall treats - pumpkin bread, cranberry scones, cinnamon rolls - you name it. I feel like I chose the wrong season to cut everything out! It's pumpkin everywhere!

I'm still hanging in with you jbutts654 and debij777.  Friday night was the worst.  I reeeeeeally wanted a glass of wine and some cheese and crackers to celebrate week's end but I stayed strong.  Tonight I would seriously love some chocolate but checking out this forum instead.  Hooray for us!!

Still going!  Much less bloating so looser clothes but other than that, not the same miraculous perks as my others.  My first was amazing!  Clear skin, clear head, great sleep, feeling rested and ready to attack the day when I woke up (by far my favorite perk), general happiness, rainbows, unicorns, sunshine, etc, etc.  This one, not so much.  I'm pretty much just grinding it out.  I still love W30 but not feeling it this time.  Hope yours are better!!!
