Tonibear
I really enjoy the food I've been cooking. I stick closely to the meal template as possible (palm of protein, thumb of fat, and I try do 1.5-2cups of veggies) per meal. But am finding I do get hungry (like fish and broccoli hungry) in between meals. So should I up my protein, fat or vege?
GFChris
Experiment. The template is a baseline. Try gradually increasing each until your meals satiate you for 4-5 hours.
Sleeve
If you're impatient like me, you could make a meal where it's certain you'll have leftovers, eat the meal slowly, and stop when you begin to feel satisfied. That's how I learned I'm about a palm and a half, thumb, two and a half cup eater. These vary based on food density and type of fat, more for fish and eggs, less for chicken and beef, more for spinach and zucchini, less for brussels sprouts and sweet potato. ...and avocado is why I have two thumbs.
