mrsleelee
Hi everyone, I'm about two weeks in, and I just read the butter manifesto more carefully and it recommends using only grass fed:pastured butter to make clarified butter. I have been using organic valley organic butter (not grass fed/pastured) to make my clarified butter. Comsumed about one stick so far in the course of two weeks.. Please please please don't tell me this warrants a re-start!!! I'm kicking myself at my carelessness :/
Moderators Tom Denham Posted October 27, 2014 Moderators Share Posted October 27, 2014 Grass fed/pastured is superior, but any butter that you clarify is acceptable for the purposes of a Whole30. Keep going.

Physibeth
That said, Organic Valley makes a pastured butter that is only available at certain times of the year. It is in a green wrapper and I've been able to find it in a few different places. Kerrygold is another brand that is pastured (or mostly pastured) I believe.
