Ifjewel
I'm guessing this is a tricky question, but any help would be appreciated. When reintroducing food, what is the expected lag time for a symptom to show up? This evening I had gas, bloating and an uncomfortable BM. This morning I had a cappuccino, with milk of course. Last night I had corn tortilla. Two hrs before the discomfort I had salmon, lettuce, sweet potato. All benign food. Oh, I used avocado oil for the first time ever. My instinct is pointing to the milk but that was 8 hrs earlier. This was my first use of pasteurized milk.
Andrea D.
My guess would be the milk or corn. Both are pretty highly allergenic and inflammatory. I do ok with most dairy products but I have really bad reactions to corn...it can take up to 24 hours for me to have a reaction so maybe stay off of them both for a few days and then try reintroduction...one at a time a few days apart. Renee Lee
It varies on the person, the degree of sensitivities. My dairy stuff usually appears the next morning to two days. My gluten stuff is 3-4 hours after. sugar's almost immediate gluten just sits in my stomach like a brick. dairy gives me congestion/allergy type symptoms. sugar is headaches, visual hallucinations (srsly) and mood/energy fluctuations a couple of hours later
