Do any of you breadtfeeding mamas have a blog and/or Instagram feed?

Recommended Posts

I could use some meal inspiration, but looking at some of the Instagram feeds of folks who have a lot of time on their hands (and the luxury of both hands!) is not helpful...it's beautiful, just not helpful. Would you be willing to share your journey with me?

Hi mamakate!  I don't blog or post food pictures on Instagram, but I can tell you the meals I have made that have been easiest for me with a toddler and a 3 month old, both of whom demand a lot of attention.  Today I made a variation of the Chocolate Chili from The Clothes Make the Girl (http://theclothesmakethegirl.com/2009/02/22/my-favorite-chili-recipe/).  I doubled everything but the meat amount and added green peppers and carrots.  It was pretty simple and not too time consuming. It has to simmer for 2 hours so I made it first thing in the morning because I knew I wasn't going anywhere and then we could eat it for lunch.  We usually do one big batch of grilled chicken sometime in the week that lasts all week usually.  I made this chili http://www.katrina-runs.com/whole-30-day-16-bring-on-the-tiger-blood last week and it was really good and pretty simple.  This http://crockpotgourmet.net/2014/05/28/crockpot-coconut-lime-chicken/ was really simple and a good light protein.I find it easiest to do a protein in a big batch somehow and then I just need to make sides to go along, but it doesn't take long to sautee up some green beans or zucchini and make a salad. I get ideas from the whole 30 meal ideas instagram page and then see what I feel like I have time for.  I always make sure to have veggies cut up for straight eating and for putting in a salad because food prep is the hardest with little ones.  Hope this helps a little!  I can continue to share with you if you would like.

Edit:  I don't know why my links aren't working.  If you are on Pinterest you can follow me and find them in my Whole 30 time board.  I am Christa Eno on there.

Hi mamakate!

I have a 15 month old son that I nursed until two months ago so I have lots of experience of cooking one handed or making basic Paleo meals.

I've been eating Paleo since April / May and have been progressively able to make more complicated meals as my son has gotten older and is eating more solid food.

My Instagram is eatlovemove and my blog is eatlovemove.com
