Baja Fresh and Freshii

About the best you can do at Baja is the Baja Ensalada, minus the cheese and tortilla strips and using stuff from their salsa bar for dressing.  Most of the salad dressings will contain sugar, and certainly the fat free one will be loaded with it.  The other problem with Baja Fresh is their proteins are kept bathing in some orange goo marinade.  We don't have a Freshii around, so I can't say much and wouldn't want to comment just based on their menu.  Once upon a time, I went to Baja Fresh pretty often.

Any update on compliant options at Freshii?

For any restaurant, you're going to have to do some research on your own. Even if you found a post here in the forum or somewhere else online that said that certain dishes were completely compliant, you'd want to do some research of your own to be sure that information was accurate, as recipes can vary from location to location or change over time.

Start by looking online for a menu for the restaurant, and see if you can also find either an ingredients list or at least an allergen list. Between the menu and the allergen list, you can narrow things down to a few options. Then, check with the particular location you plan to eat at to ask about things like what kind of cooking oil they use, and if there's any kind of sugar or sweetener in marinades or sauces.
