I don't know if you're using stockings because you can't find cheesecloth, but it's called also called muslin cloth. I found some with the jam making section here.

Ah yeah I know the stuff, I just don't have any, I am presuming any breathable fabric would work.

Derval I tried making a scoby from a bottle but I think I was impatient. I ended up buying one from KombuchaKamp. I would like to try it again since I am booch brave now. The bits are good. You do have to use a plain unflavored and raw one to start with. Any breathable fabric works. In fact the one they sent me with my SCOBY is just a thin cotton you might make a blouse from. It's a cute grandma flower print. :)

Ya never know..it might. Worth a try unless you'd rather drink it. :) They like to be warm and out of direct light. Odd little creatures. The baby at the top of my jar is weird looking. They get brownish from the tannins in the tea.

I'll keep you posted on the jars progress. Not sure where I should keep it that is warm but out of sunlight - like in a cupboard?

Pretty good day so far today, dranks loads of water.

7.15am - same as yesterday but took a pic for you

11am - low fat capp

12.30pm - yummy lunch. same chicken as yesterday but I reheated it slightly in the cooking dish to melt the lemony garlicy chicken drippings and this made a delicous dressing for my salad leaves, and the balsamic roasted eggplant slices sucked it all up too.

5.30pm - sweet potato, shallot & sausage hash with fried egg

I have heard that the top of the fridge is good because of the warmth. Would that work? Cupboards can work if they are warm. I keep mine in my dining room because of the heat strip that I use so I need an electric source.

Wednesday! 11 days to Espagna!

7.15am - same as yesterday

8.30am - GYM - upper body (#8)

12.30pm - mixed leaves, lemon & parsley smoked mackeral fillets, avo, mayo "dressing" - yup failed mayo :o well no wonder, stupo here forgot to put the vinegar in! Tried to rescue it, but no joy, so I have a very egg rich dressing!

5.30pm - Chicken in red pesto with zoodles. Then some more chicken dipped in "mayo"

Another good water day, go me.

Mrs. Template, you rock.

Question #1 - do you feel any difference when you drink plenty or not? Question#2 - pork expertise needed, is there any fool proof pork recipe in your library? Simple cut too if possible. I might be good with sardines, but meat is still far from even looking like yours. Eh.

Hazelnut oil sounds so good. Coffee + hazelnut sounds SO GOOD.

#1 well it is helping with the not snacking, I am running up to the loo so much I don't have time to snack  Can't say I feel much different physically, but I do feel more virtuous

eta found it, that was easier than I expected!

I had a overdose of Frangelico long ago and have not touched hazlenuts or their oil since, but I have 3 words for you...macadamia nut oil. It's expensive, but I use it sparingly. Going to try BP with it this morning before my session at the gym. :0)

Now, look what you've done, dear Derval! Serious oil craze over here :)

Thanks for the recipe, have you tried it with dried herbs? I guess if converted properly it will work too.

You're all nuts I say

asfair I used dried orgenao & fresh (from the freezer) rosemary & thyme
