Hutlifr
Day 0 I wanna start another Whole30 and when I do reintro, I wanna try, among others, dairy biproducts so I can cross them off my list of things to eat. We all discovered how there is sugar in everything, but in the months leading to this, I have noticed how many products have whey or casein in them. So after this reset, I'll put these products thru the test. I am at a crossroad where I wanna do something that keeps me focused on me, my health, and my sanity. Not that I am afraid of off-roading. Just want to have other things on my mind than the sick bay. Goals: gaining my energy back despite of my night shifts, and lose that grumpy suit I am wearing! Wanna join me? kirkor
I haven't encountered too many things with sneaky whey or casein that didn't also have other more blatant stuff in it --- what kind of products have you been finding it in?
Hutlifr
Dry saucisson... Nothing else not even nitrates or sugar in my necks of the wood...
kirkor
Bummer, that looks tasty! I like your idea of doing the reintro separately for the different dairy components --- what order do you think would be best? You're really gonna get this thing fine-tuned! Hutlifr
I will go with whey first... The most common in food over here. No clue why. Too many milk cows around?

Hutlifr
Still. Undecided about meal 3... I am exhausted from laundry day yesterday, and sleep deprivation... Ready for the holidays. Semi-cooked at your end? Like al dente? Still a bite to it, or crunchy? What does your pumpkin spice consist of? Can't find that here. Did you prepare it? MeadowLily
Al dente, definitely. Just short of a snap. Pumpkin Pie Spice - I can buy two kinds here. Ginger, Allspice, Cloves, Mace, Nutmeg and Cinnamon, Ginger, Cloves, Nutmeg. I often use both in everything from coffee, tea to sauteed apples (fruits). I'll often add more than a tad of Cayenne if I want it extra special spicy. I have a compliant Tuscan and Herbes de Provence blend that I use on my roasted vege. Then I add extra Peppercorn Melange and White Pepper to those mixtures. There's healing in the leaves and herbs. I've experimented with every herb and spice I can find, lemon and lime juice. I really like Cayenne and Cinnamon together for fruit. I often add Cayenne to my coffee, too. I brush my teeth with Cardamom and Coriander. Inbetween meals I often take a swig of water with Cardamom and Coriander....keeps the breath all spicy and fresh. Try to rest inbetween your caregiving shifts, Hutlifr. Thanks for starting this thread. I probably won't post my food every day. I haven't veered off the course for 7 months. Holiday goodies...meh. Sugar. There's no amount of food resets that will change the way my pancreas handles sugars....that includes all milk sugars. No going back, no going back. I am going to incorporate more fish. I have seen the light of what fish can do for a person's skin and hair. Fish has completely transformed someone I know. It blows my hair back to see the transformation. Fish...oh yeah. Bear is going ice fishing and we'll have some beautiful rainbow trout. It's bright pink like salmon where he goes - his secret fishing spot. Hutlifr, your food is art and you inspire me with your sense of adventure. Thelma and Louise made some really bad decisions. They should've just stayed in that car and went fishing. That's what we would do.

MeadowLily
That is a Hutlifr masterpiece and work of art. Loading everything up...headed for the folkaronis. We've been cooking for 10 hours straight. I hope everyone is hungry. We take it in hot pans, throw towels over the whole works and off to Mawmaw's house we go. Hutlifr
Your exercise regime: jealous.... Had a bad night and 4 wake up calls. Late meal 1 consisted of yams and scrambled eggs. Meal 2 was a lasagne (sliced steamed zucchini in lieu of pasta) Meal 3 was leftover lasagna. My brother came over with squeeze and kids, and the frozen ice cream cake was pretty to look at. Long walk with the pup.
