Carly Whole30 log begins 12/27/14

Hi all, this is my first whole30 and I started today, Saturday 12/27/2014. 

 

Here's what I ate:

 

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

 

Water - 85oz

Iced tea - 32oz.

Black coffee - 8oz

Breakfast

 

  • 4 - thick slices Whole Foods organic bacon
  • 2 - hard boiled eggs
  • 2 - cups of mushrooms/orange bell pepper/onions sauteed in bacon fat
  • 1/2 - avocado

 

Lunch

 

  • 4oz - lean london broil
  • 1 - cup iceberg lettuce
  • 1 - hard boiled egg
  • 1.5 - cups of mushrooms/orange bell pepper/onions sauteed in bacon fat
  • 3 tbls - homemade salsa with 1 tbls. vinaigrette dressing
  • 1oz - pistachios

 

Dinner

 

  • 1.5 - cup shredded sweet potatoes sauteed in ghee
  • 12 - cherry tomatoes with a vinaigrette dressing
  • 1oz - lean london broil
  • 4 - thick slices Whole Foods organic bacon

Day 1 went really well other than I was extremely FULL! lol I did not find myself hungry and I'm already detoxed from grain/sugar/legumes as I have not eaten them for over 2 years. Did not workout today and I'm tired due to not a lot of sleep last night. Food wise, I enjoyed what I ate but it was a bit much for me, I normally would not even eat half of that lol. This is going to be a journey!  :)
