mollyv5
I see some recipes that call for coconut cream. In looking up how to make it all recipes call for vanilla. I thought vanilla was not allowed. Does anyone have a recipe that is whole30 approved?
Guest Andria
What is the recipe, specifically? Coconut cream is just the thicker portion of coconut milk. For example, place a can of full fat coconut milk in the refrigerator for a few hours. When you open the can the somewhat hardened cream at the top of the can (above the water) is called coconut cream. If you are referring to making coconut whipped cream, that would be considered SWYPO, and not allowed while on the Whole30. With that said, if the recipe is compliant otherwise just use vanilla beans in place of the vanilla extract.
mollyv5
It is coconut shrimp with piña colada dipping sauce of the website. I didn't know what coconut cream was. Good to know its just canned milk. Thank you so much! I am just starting and don't want to put something in that I shouldn't. Thanks again
