Integrating SCD and Whole 30 diets for SIBO/IBS - seeking support

Recommended Posts

The SCD is interesting but the site is loaded with Ransomware. Buyer beware, don't go there.

The large red full page with  phone number comes up,  you call and pay them money so they can destroy your computer forever.

SCD is similar to W30, from what I could see. It's an older program and they use yogurt instead of fermented foods like kombucha and kimchi.

However, there are SIBO/FODMAP threads here, too - and you won't get a Ransomware page, safe.

As someone with SIBO, I can also recommend that you read about the SIBO bi-phasic diet (google it). The first stage is essentially very similar to Whole30 (no dairy, alcohol, legumes, grains, sweeteners, artificial stuff)--but it also offers very useful guidance on how much of various vegetables and fruits to try at each meal, to keep fermentation to a minimum. The first phase that's so similar to Whole30 lasts for 6 weeks rather than 30 days. Good luck! Digestive enzymes and HCl can also help a lot.
