tkam14
Hi! I'm Taylor and I'm starting my first Whole30 on Monday, January 5th. I made a lifestyle change to clean eating in June of 2014, and have seen great success since then, but felt I needed a health-boost after the holiday season to get back on the right track mentally. The thing I'm worried about most is the no grains aspect of the program, as I have relied heavily on grains for breakfast daily, as it's easiest to put together at 6 am on the way out to work (so early, right?). I'm also on a post-grad budget (as I graduated from college in May), so my nerves are coming from various places! Despite this, I'm very excited to see what Whole30 can do for my life. Any encouragement and words of advice from those who have been in this place before are more than welcome. I plan to post things daily after starting, as I'm sure I'll be needing the encouragement. I'll also be there to encourage others because we're all in this together, right?!
praxisproject
Welcome! Eggs are a great (and cheap) source of protein The quickest breakfast is leftovers from dinner. If you have an oven, eggs baked in muffin cups are very portable (as are boiled eggs).
MarinaL
I was going to start on Monday, but today all my prep stuff came together, and I started getting antsy and bumped things up to tomorrow. I can identify with the nervousness! Dairy is going to be hardest for me. I second praxisproject's portable egg recommendation! You can toss cooked veggies in the muffin cups with eggs before baking.
