Second Whole30 not going so good

Recommended Posts

I am 9 days into my second Whole30 and this time around I have found that sweet potatoes are making me feel bloated and very uncomfortable in my clothes.  I was wondering if butternut squash would be a better alternative?  This round of Whole30 is just not going too great and I feel like I have gained weight because again my clothes feel TIGHT!! Below is an example of a typical day.  Any advise would be sooooo appreciated.  I am also doing Insanity max30 5 days a week, could this be too much stress on my body and causing a cortisol spike?

Pre-workout: one egg white because I need something but nothing too heavy

Post-workout: sweet potato, turkey meatball

Breakfast: 3 whole eggs, avocado, butternut squash or blueberries

Lunch: chicken breast, green beans, coconut oil or ghee

Snack: chicken breast

Dinner: turkey burger, spinach and cabbage salad, shredded coconut flakes, La Croix water

I also drink anywhere from 3-4 liters of water everyday

Thanks for the help whole30 family

Do you drink a lot of La Croix water? Carbonated beverages can increase your bloat.Cabbage can be the culprit or Ghee. Also every whole30 is different. Your intestines may need more time to heal on this one so it's taking a while to adjust. I would increase your veggies. The goal is 1-3 cups per meal. I am all about variety because I love veggies so I would have 1 cup each of three different veggies per meal. You could be sensitive to sweet potato so you might want to avoid it for a few days and see if things improve. Then if they do try it out again and see if your symptoms return. Good Luck!

I drink one La Croix water everyday.  I really hope it's not my cabbage slaw because I LOVE it so much  I will start thinking of other things to change on this Whole30.  It's just so confusing because my first round was so successful and I felt the tiger blood and this time nothing:(  Thanks
