DColby
Hi All, Im on day 8 of my first whole30!! This week I wanted to make fish and I know my husband loves tartar sauce with it. But all the cornichons I find have sulfites. Does anyone know of a brand that does not contain sulfites or sugar? TIA
Carlaccini
either Bubbies or Mrs Whyte's should be compliant. They are found only in refrigerated sections of your grocery store (In the general vicinity of sausages)
jenniebennie
also try the generic store brand of whatever store you are shopping in, the store brands often contain less processed ingredients, at least in Canada. Good luck.
kirkor
Could you use dill pickles/relish instead of sweet?
Administrators ladyshanny Posted January 21, 2015 Administrators Share Posted January 21, 2015 I always use dill pickles for my tartar sauce. I use Steinfeld's baby dills that I get at Costco. There are more ingredients than I would prefer but they are all compliant so I go with it.
GlennR
I got Domaine des Vignes cornichons in Cost Plus World Market. Ingredients: gherkins, water, distilled vinegar, salt, onions, mustard seed, tarragon.
