carrie_anng
I am going to be starting my Whole30 Journey this Saturday - grocery shopping on Thursday, food prep on Friday so I can start Saturday and have everything set up! My husband has agreed to eat the same things I'm eating when he's home, and I am hoping to use my time on Whole30 to also approach changing the diets for my children - in particular, my 12 year old with ADHD and ODD, and my Autistic 8 year old with ADHD. I've always been overwhelmed at the idea of changing their diets, but I think right now, when I am already changing my diet to fit in with Whole30 is a good time to give everyone a change. Husband and kids won't be on Whole30, just eating Whole30 compliant meals when they are home. So I need to find some good meals that I can prep on my prep day and put up in the freezer to pull out and make when needed. That's how I'm going to be spending my day, researching recipes! praxisproject
I highly recommend Well Fed & Well Fed 2 cookbooks (and the blog, Clothes Make The Girl) - not only great recipes, but also lots of great cooking tips, on minimising time in the kitchen There's a whole forum section on Whole30 for kids http://forum.whole9life.com/forum/16-whole30-for-kids/ Lots of great tips in there, including things important to some kids, like texture aversions.
