I have been suffering from seasonal allergies and my usual over the counter medication is not compliant. I know many people that have found relief from using raw, unfiltered (local) honey. I know honey isn't compliant, but would Bee Pollen be compliant? I'd really like to find a natural way to cut down on my congestion. Thanks!!

Bee pollen is compliant.  Now, having said that -- my understanding is that the honey for allergies, and presumably therefore bee pollen as well, is more a preventive thing. You take local honey daily, and somehow because of the local pollen from the bees, you're exposed to local pollens, which helps you build up immunity. (I don't know whether or not it works, but that's my understanding of how it's supposed to work.) So I think if you're having symptoms, it's a little late for it to be helpful for those symptoms right now.

If you need to take medicine because you can't function without it, or are miserable, you should take the medicine. If you can find a version that doesn't have non-compliant ingredients, great, but we don't expect you to suffer when there is medication that would help you.

I'm not a doctor, but a few things you might try to help alleviate symptoms:  If you're having sinus congestion, you might try a neti pot/sinus irrigation kit, which would help clear out the sinuses. Hot water with lemon might feel soothing and comforting, or broth/stock is always a good choice if you want a warm drink. If your throat is sore (when my allergies act up, I always end up with a sore throat from the post-nasal drip), you might check out throat coat tea -- check your local health food store, and read the ingredients.

Hope you feel better soon!

Thank you! I have been using a saline solution to flush my sinuses. I've also been drinking lots of hot tea and homemade bone broth. I'm willing to try a bee pollen regimen to build up an immunity. I know it won't be a quick fix, but it's worth a try!
