stefmbrown Posted January 24, 2015 Share Posted January 24, 2015 Have done well all week but was a little worried about this first weekend and specifically this evening. I have a monthly girls poker night which is full of terrible (but yummy) snacks and drinks. I debated going but felt strong and had a plan for how to handle my food so I went. And I conquered! I may not have won the whole game but I stuck to water while everyone else had beer or wine, and some veggies with guacamole while others snacked on chocolate pretzels and chips. A bit hard but I did it and am proud! And I'm sure I'll feel a lot better than they will tomorrow. Now to get through the rest of the weekend, and fight through the desire for red wine.... I'm hoping it gets easier every day as we get used to some go-to-meals and realize that everything doesn't have to revolve around eating out and drinking. Although admittedly my weekend was a bit quieter than it normally is, but that's ok - gives me more time to work on other things. Keep it up!
