pechristie
I have noticed red blotchy skin on my cheeks and nose. the intensity of the redness comes and goes, worse when I am warm. the skin is warm and feels rubbery I noticed this a bit before starting the whole 30 (today is day 24). But seems to be getting worse. could this be rosacea? is this an auto immune dicease? I have RA ( since 2000).
Moderators Tom Denham Posted January 26, 2015 Moderators Share Posted January 26, 2015 That is really something for a doctor to diagnose. It is far too common for internet diagnoses to be wrong. What you are describing is not a normal development for someone doing a Whole30. People sometimes have temporary skin flare ups due to the stress of changing their diet, but eating meat, veggies, and healthy fats is ultimately very good for the skin. GME
I had rosacea for years, saw doctor after doctor, used rx after rx, to no avail. It went away completely when I went off gluten. Are you eating anything you didn't before? I never noticed the skin feeling rubbery though. I had overall redness and tiny bumps.
