MCT oil?

I would proceed with caution when it comes to this latest 'healthy' product.  MCT oil is not found in nature and is actually a manufactured product; right there is where red flags start to go up for me.  MCTs or medium chain triglycerides are considered to have great health benefits, so the more the better, right?  I wouldn't be so sure about that.

Coconut oil contains all the MCTs, granted not in as high a concentration, but it does contain ALL the MCTs including Lauric acid.

Take it as a supplement if you must but just be aware that this is not something that nature is providing you for your health and wellness.

Right, you can consume MCT oil during a Whole30.

Bio-hacking is the paleo version of the same short-cut thinking that led to cheez-whiz, margarine, and soylent green. If you learn something from a bio-hacker, the chances are that you will eventually regret it. :)

Be careful when you are first trying MCT oil, start with a small portion and work your way up to see what your stomach can handle.  I sometimes add a tablespoon to my coffee first thing in the morning before a workout...but if I go even slightly over a tablespoon I am blowing the doors off the bathroom about 2-3 hours later.
