kaitlinwestbroek
I am on day 7 and just realized today that some of the turkey breast I have been eating has 2% or less carageen. Do I need to start comepletely over? I am at the point I really don't feel like I am doing this correctly. What are the rules on fruit? I fear I might be eating too much fruit. I also have missed a couple meals during the week is this a reason to start over? Sorry for all the questions I am starting to feel like I am doing this all wrong. Any help is much appreciated! Thanks!!!
Moderators ShannonM816 Posted January 28, 2015 Moderators Share Posted January 28, 2015 These are the Whole30 rules. As long as you follow those, you are doing fine. Carrageenan is one of the major things you need to avoid, and to successfully determine how it affects you, you really need to go 30 days without it before reintroducing it. You could restart at day 1, or you could call it a Whole37, whatever sounds best to you. I would just chalk it up to experience -- many of us find something non-compliant in a product at some point in our Whole30. It just reinforces the need to read all the labels, every time you buy something. In addition to the rules, there are some recommendations that will help you have the best possible Whole30 experience. These include things like having three meals a day based on the meal template. Not following the recommendations -- whether it's having too much fruit, or skipping a meal, or having a smoothie -- is not cause for a restart, but again, following the recommendations will give you the best possible results.
