Hello readers :)

 

My name is Laura, Im 28 years old and live in Brisbane QLD Australia.

 

I am on day one of my second whole 30.  I did my first whole 30 this time in 2014 so thought it's something I want to do once a year just to get my health back on track after the festive season.

 

I suffer from IBS symptoms when I'm not sticking to mainly whole30 foods.  So I always like to get back to basics.

 

I currently weigh 52kgs and am quite active.  I hope to improve my overall physique over the next few weeks also but I'm not interested in losing weight, just feeling better on the inside and out.

 

I will be logging my meals at the end of each day to keep me on track and to get any feedback from moderators.  I also will list how I am feeling each day.  I found that the forum kept me on track last year as other users would always encourrage me when ever I wasn't having a good day.

 

I look forward to seeing some changes in my body and my mood over the next few weeks.

Day one done...Here was the days food

 

0900 Meal One

 

- 3 homemade Zucchini 'muffins'  (zucchini, carrot, eggs, almond meal, ghee, brown onion, organic bacon)

- small bunch black grapes

- black coffee

 

1345 Meal Two

 

- 130g oven baked chicken

- Salad: spinach leaves, rocket, rockmelon, cherry tomatoes, nuts, olives, celery - Dressed with lime juice, dijon mustart and olive oil

 

0800 Meal Three

- Steak

- Baby broccoli, carrot, cauliflower, avocado, dijon mustard/salt/pepper

 

2245 Snack 

- Two zucchini muffins

- small bunch black grapes

 

I probably shouldn't have had the snack before bedtime but I can never fall asleep if I feel hungry.....This is something I hope to avoid in future.

Day 2

 

0730 Meal One

 

- Three zucchini muffins

- One banana

- Black coffee

 

1130 Meal Two

- Three zucchini muffins

- Can of tuna

 

1700 Snack

- Organic Biltong 30g

 

1900 Meal Three

- Grilled Snapper with Sweet Potato mash and spinach

 

2 L water drunk today.

and 2 cups of tea

 

Good day but feeling a little bloated.

Day Three

 

Feeling quite tired today :(  but still a good day none the less!

Havent been sleeping very well for weeks, just cant 'switch off' and not sure how to fix this!

 

 

 

0700 Woke up and had a long black coffee then went for a 40 minute brisk walk

 

0830 had a zucchini muffin then did a 28 minute resistance training circuit.... (note to self to pick up some sardines for pre workout in future as I know what I had wasn't what I required)....I struggled through the tough workout but I completed it!

 

0900 Meal One

- 3 Zucchini muffins and one banana

 

1345 Meal Two

- 3 Zucchini muffins

- Can of tuna

- small bunch black grapes

 

2000 Meal 3

- 4 oven baked lamb chops

- sweet potato baked

- proscuitto wrapped asparagus 

 

2100 went for another 40 minute brisk walk

 

Drank 3L of water today

Day 4 

 

Well today I just feel awful.....I feel heavy and bloated and just yuck and my energy levels aren't great :(

I hate hate hate feeling bloated

 

0600 went for a 40 minute walk/jog

 

0700 Meal One

2 Zucchini muffins

1 hot smoked salmon steak

1 banana

black coffee

 

1200 Meal Two

3 Zucchini muffins

Can of tuna

Bunch of black grapes

 

1600 Black coffee

1700 60g dried peppered biltong - I think this is why I feel so awful this evening

 

1900 - did a 30 min resistance training workout which ended up taking me more like 45 mins as i struggled through it and then was sick afterwards.  It was arms and abs and quite intense.

 

Wanted to have dinner post training but I just felt sick and lethargic so drank more water and went to bed.

 

Probably only got about 2L water in me so far but I will try drink more before I sleep tonight.  I do hope tomorrow I feel better!!

Another tired day :(

 

Day Five

 

0630 Meal One

- Two eggs fried in ghee

- organic bacon

- 1/2 green apple + nut butter

- black coffee

- water and apple cider vinegar

 

1200 Meal Two

- hot smoked salmon fillet with large salad

 

1800 Meal Three

- 6 natural oysters

- two raw scallops

- 8 prawns

- lettuce

- 1/2 green apple and nut butter

 

did not get enough veggies today at Meal 3.  Will improve tomorrow with less fats and more veggies!

Day 8 and still doing whole30...just had a busy weekend and didn't log all my meals. 

 

Feeling more alive than last week though and my workouts aren't as hard to get through so my energy is improving.

 

Hope to see some changes in my body at the end of this week :)
