jbmcaa
It is almost over and I have a decision to make that I need help with. The month has gone by so fast! I miss a few things, but I thought I would miss them alot more than I actually do. The eating was a breeze since my husband and I both love to cook and we already had half of a grass fed cow in the freezer. We had to get rid of our fat free dressings and cheese and ALCOHOL, but this wasn't the hardship we thought it was going to be. Unfortunately, neither of us have yet to experience the "tiger blood" and energy we were hoping for. We both lost our extra Christmas weight though, but we do that every year in January. Here is my question. Should we keep going on the plan until we experience the wonderful happiness and energy, or do we start with the reintroduction process outlined in the book? Moderators ShannonM816 Posted February 7, 2015 Moderators Share Posted February 7, 2015 There's not really a right or wrong answer here. Many people look at their calendar and know they have a special event coming up, and want to be done with reintroductions before then so they know if there are foods that cause immediate reactions that they want to avoid. Others find it easier to stick to Whole30, since they're already in the groove, so to speak, and because they want to see if they continue to improve. You could also check out the slow roll reintroduction, which lets you continue on eating Whole30 style until something comes up that you want to try. GFChris
It's up to you. Some people never experience Tiger Blood. I would suggest revisiting the reasons you decided to take on a Whole30, and then decide from there whether to reintro now, or keep going.
Gina56
jbmcaa I completed whole30 on 2/6/14 and I have to say I have not felt the magic or the Tiger Blood. That being said my diet was pretty good before I started. Also I had been decreasing my wheat products to about 1 - 2 servings per week (down from 3-4 per day), had decreased my sugar intake and decreased my wine intake in the many weeks prior to actually starting whole30. I have wondered if that is why I have not had those fantastic emotions? Perhaps one of the moderators have thoughts on that? I did lose a few pounds, my hot flashes decreased, I have been told I "look good" and I feel good. Is that the magic? I don't know but I am happy with the process, what I have learned about eating (and drinking) and I am in the re-introduction phase. I intend to go through all the re-introduction and then figure out what can stay and what can go. Hope these thoughts help.

This article might help: http://whole30.com/2014/04/tiger-blood/ It sounds like you had great results and your context was pretty clean to start with. Once you complete re-intro you get to decide how you ride your bike from here on out and see how that makes you feel long term.
