Pal352
Hi Everyone! I'm starting my first round of Whole30 on Monday and I'm super excited! At the same time I will be starting Month 2 of Insanity Max 30 which if you're not familiar is a Beachbody program consisting of High Intensity Interval Training for 30 minutes a day 5x a week. If you've ever done any Insanity prorgam you know how intense it gets, and after Month 1 I know Month 2 is going to be even crazier. My question is, have any of you completed Whole30 during a crazy Beachbody program or are currently doing so? If so, did you feel like you were able to get through the workouts and had enough energy? I'm worried I won't be able to push as hard especially in the beginning of W30. Any tips/thoughts would be greatly appreciated Thanks! Moderators Tom Denham Posted February 10, 2015 Moderators Share Posted February 10, 2015 You cannot push as hard during the first few weeks of a first Whole30. Your body is learning to burn fat instead of sugar during intense exercise and it does not like it. The result is increased feelings of tiredness and sluggishness. Many people report slower running times and just generally being tired. After a few weeks, when your body has adjusted to burning fat, your energy levels go up and most of us find we can stay strong longer than ever before. There is nothing you can do to jump over this step. You have to go through it, not around it. In the long run, it is definitely worth it.
