cbrignone5
Hello all, I've read through various posts and It Starts With Food.... but I can't remember all the rules about sugar. I was looking at some dry roasted cashews and the only ingredients were "cashews" but it said 2 g of sugar! Would that be allowed? Is it just the ingredients or also percentages of sugar? Thanks for the help, and sorry if this question has been asked many times before!
Administrators ladyshanny Posted February 16, 2015 Administrators Share Posted February 16, 2015 Yep, this question has been asked and answered a bunch of times. The best way to search the forum is to Google "Whole30 + your question". In the case of the question you have posed, the answer is that you cannot have anything with added sugar. Many, many food products have naturally occuring sugars which would show in the nutritional facts panel as grams. As long as the ingredients list does not have sugar or other sweeteners listed it would be fine (barring any other non-compliant ingredients, of course).
