Alexian28
But really I need a bit of help. There's a zang or zest that's missing, maybe something akin to ranch? I didn't use the dry mustard for my mayo because yuk and I love the mayo. So what should I add to my dreamy avocado? Maybe just follow the ranch recipe and add avocado? It'd be pretty easy to just add extra spices to my already made dressing.
Munkers
Can you link the recipe that you're referencing or provide an ingredient list? Dry mustard in a dressing does not have the same effect as adding prepared mustard to a dish. Dry mustard can help to add some of the zing that you're missing. As far as ranch is concerned, I add herbs to compliant hot sauce for "buffalo ranch" sauce: 1/2 Tbsp Dried Parsley1 tsp Garlic Powder1 Tbsp Onion Powder1/2 tsp Dried Thyme
Administrators ladyshanny Posted February 19, 2015 Administrators Share Posted February 19, 2015 Apple cider vinegar can add "zing" also and is common in many Whole30 ranch recipes.
Alexian28
I'm using the recipe in "It Starts With Food". I tried the mayo with the dry mustard and I just wasn't into it. Maybe it's different with the avocado. Your ideas are great! I was thinking maybe dill as well. I'm not a very good cook. Can follow recipes fine, just not inventive.
