lauraleemaster
So I completed Day 1 of the Whole 30 program and I realize that I didn't prepare well enough. I am struggling to figure out what to eat for breakfast if I am not an egg person. Today I was able to eat a hard boiled egg, some meat and some spinach but what are some other ideas. It feels weird to have veggies at breakfast...and NOT have toast.
GFChris
Start thinking about breakfast as meal 1 and that opens up countless non-toast and non-egg options for you. Whatever you eat for your 2nd and 3rd meals is fair game for your 1st meal of the day.Google Whole30 non-egg breakfasts for links to LOTS of past discussion on this topic in the forum. (Best way to search the forum is via Google).
Moderators ShannonM816 Posted February 19, 2015 Moderators Share Posted February 19, 2015 Any food that would work for any other meal will work for breakfast. Many people find it helpful to think in terms of meal1, meal2, and meal3 rather than breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Leftovers are easy. These meat and spinach muffins are good, and while they contain egg it's just as a binder, you don't notice them: http://theclothesmakethegirl.com/2012/02/14/vday-gift-for-you-meat-spinach-muffins/ And you can google whole30 no egg breakfasts for more ideas.
