Can you tell me why? I've been taking it for a while as I might (or might not) get pregnant in a year. Folic acid is among the most recommended pre-natal supplement by most any doctor. Thanks! Check out this article by Chris Kresser: http://chriskresser....e-vs-folic-acid Folic acid is the synthesized compound which seems to have some risks with excessive intake. Folate is found in real food and is essential for health. Most prenatal vitamins have folic acid, not folate.
