Marissa2411
My lips are really chapped and was wondering if you are allowed to use chapsticks on whole30?
Administrators ladyshanny Posted March 3, 2015 Administrators Share Posted March 3, 2015 Whole30 is only concerned with what you put in your body, not so much what you put on it. Chapstick away! If you were looking for a less commercial product though, lots of people swear by coconut oil as a topical moisturizer.
ThyPeace
Okay, but what if I want to EAT the chapstick? Sorry, kidding. I just couldn't resist. ThyPeace, was a little kid once, after all.
kirbygirl
My lips are really chapped and was wondering if you are allowed to use chapsticks on whole30? Marissa, funny you should mention that. My lips have been pretty chapped throughout my W30 and one morning I put on one of my many chapsticks and realized it tasted very sweet. I immediately threw it out and panicked that I had to start my W30 again but I was advised I was okay to continue. There were no ingredients listed, of course. Hi Ladyshanny, What if you are using chapstick that does have the ingredients listed and there are definite whole30 no no's on it?

The line is drawn at foods you eat, not products you use. I'm assuming it's either soy or some sort of sweetener? I guess I would say if you are a lip biter and are going to reapply the chapstick eleventy-three times a day just so you can lick it off, you might want to reconsider. But again, Whole30 is only concerned with the foods you eat.
