Burping?

does anybody know as to why I would burp-up the taste of some foods after I eat?   Would it be those are the foods I need to stay away from?   Allergy?  How it was prepared with other foods?  I don't notice it all the time.  I can give you some examples: cucumbers(with peel), colored peppers.

thanks

I have always, always, always had this problem.  This one reason why I don't like cucumbers.  Because if I eat one - I eat it all day long.

After living whole 9 life for a while (2.5 years) I know it's because I don't digest raw food well.  However - I have had some luck with eating eating cucumbers that are de-seeded.

I don't seem to have much problems eat cucumbers in let's say a gazpacho.

Peppers I occasionally eat raw (usually at other people's houses) and just live with it.

I do remember reading about cooking veg's, but I feel that you are loosing all the nutrients, so I eat them raw when possible.  I do take a digestive enzyme, maybe I need to take 2 with the meal if I am consuming a lot of raw veggies which I do at pretty much every meal.

Never thought about peeling the cukes!  I have always eaten them with the peeling on even when growing up, Mom always said its not going to hurt you!  Maybe her digestive system was made of steel.  Would you recommend peeling the seedless ones too?  I know their skin is slightly thinner with a slightly different texture to them.

As far as the peppers go, I will try to at least steam them( my DH just can not stand the smell of peppers....or any other veg. when they are cooking).

I'm just glad that it is not an allergy or something that I need to stay away from....YEA!

Thanks for your feedback's.

You don't necessarily lose all nutrients when you cook all vegetables.
