First Whole 30 3/7

Today was my first day of Whole 30.  It went well, I have some habitual snacking I need to work on.

Meal one  2 eggs, 2oz chicken breast, 1.5 cups brussel sprouts, 1/2 cup sweet potato, 1/2 cup pineapple

 

Meal 2 2 cups cabbage,beet slaw, 6oz chicken breast, 1/2 cup sweet potato, 1/2 cup pineapple

 

snack  primal bar, turkey, cranberry walnuts

 

Meal 3 1.5 cups brussel sprouts,  6 oz chicken, 1/4 cup plantain, 1/2 cup cauliflower, 1 cup grapefruit, 3 T almonds and cashews.

 

I feel good. Not craving sugar yet.  Am looking forward to stopping the mindless snacking, sugar binges, and obsessive scale reading for a month.

Day 2

The sugar cravings have hit.  Today I ate a little more fruit with meals to help with the cravings.  I know they will pass, I have quit sugar before. I was amazed to find some hidden stevia in my GI Revive supplement, so that went in the closet with all of my other things containing stevia. Managed to avoid the 3pm snack today.  Distracted myself with a pelligrino water and a walk outside. Will try that again tomorrow if needed.
