Cntrygrlathrt22
I'm on day 8 of my very first whole30. My boyfriend just made me 3 eggs and I ate one before I realized he used vegetable spray with soy to spray the pan. So since I don't have my book on me, Do I have to start my whole30 over?! I'm so disappointed. I immediately started crying.

Cntrygrlathrt22
I'm just frustrated that I was not the one who made the decision to cook the eggs with vegetable spray. I didn't even know it was happening. If I consciously made the decision myself I would definitely start over. I'm just confused, even after reading the article. jmcbn
Sorry, but if it was me I'd be starting over.... I know how frustrating it must be for you given that you didn't make the eggs, but did you ask the question before tucking in? Does your boyfriend understand that you're doing the whole30 thing? Does he fully understand the rules? Could you really carry on knowing that you slipped up? Only YOU can be truly responsible for what you eat.Chalk it up as a lesson learned & hit the re-start button. Or not. It's up to you.
Cntrygrlathrt22
Thanks. I will start over. I'm just sad to have to say it out loud that I failed. My boyfriend does know I'm doing whole30, but he wasn't aware I couldn't have the spray. I was so excited I was doing so well and made it through a week all on my own! jmcbn
I think you're doing the right thing - and just think how excited you'll be when you make it to day9 this time... Oh, and you might want to print out the rules & stick them on your BF's fridge!
Cntrygrlathrt22
Haha thanks! I might just do that. I told him I couldn't have that again and it's just meat, vegetables and fruit.
Moderators ShannonM816 Posted March 9, 2015 Moderators Share Posted March 9, 2015 I'm just sad to have to say it out loud that I failed. You didn't fail. It was a mistake, completely unintentional. You immediately realized the problem, and decided to start over, because you are worth the effort to do this right. That is not failure.
