BJS12345
I am just finishing day 3 of the challenge. It hasn't been too hard for me so far because I was already not eating sugar and grains and beans. I added dairy with this and don't miss it. The big difference will be sticking to it for 30 days. I don't think I've ever gone that long on a "diet" without eating a sweet! I always broke it in the past and had to take two steps forward and one step back!! I feel like I can actually do it this time. Something about having to start over if you break it makes me want to stay on track!!
BJS12345
Day 6 I feel great today! Finally feel like I got a good sleep and am not foggy and tired today. I did it for 5 days I only have to do that 6 more times! Worried about temptation of going with my husband and daughter this weekend to a cake testing! I plan on watching only but don't l ow if j should do that to myself! I will not cave though. I really don't want to start over!!
BJS12345
Day 7 today. I am really liking the 3 meals a day no snacking idea. My hardest time of the day is when I get home from work and am in the kitchen for hours making dinner for the family, packing lunches and trying to make my own dinner without snacking during the whole process! Then I still have to be stuck in the kitchen cleaning up!! I havent gone off plan though. I do "pick" at too many vegatables and some fruits hike I am stuck in the kitchen. I'm afraid this is giving me too many carbs. I hope I drop some weight by the end if this!! If not, I'm afraid I will give up altogether!!! BJS12345
Today is Day 9 for me and I literally feel great today!! I ate a really good breakfast of scrambled eggs topped with avacado and a side of kale mixed with mushrooms that I chopped in the food processor and fried in coconut oil. I would like to eat that for every meal! I am not loving my boring salad with protein and fat added for lunch, and my protein and vegatable (fried or baked w olive oil or coconut oil) for dinner. Btw...I dreamt about steak last night. It was really good iny dream! I also dreamt that someone gave me a paper cup full of orange flavored milk and I drank half and then remembered I was on the whole 30 program and was upset I drank it. I didn't even like it and thought it was too sweet!
BJS12345
I forgot to say that I had a great night sleep last night. I have literally been tired every day for at least a week before I started this on March 6th! I hope the way I feel today is a sign of whats to come!! While I am always on a diet, I think this is the longest I have gone in a long time without giving into my sugar cravings and binging on whatever I want one night a week (usually Saturday). My rationale is that I want to eat everything I want so I can get it out if my system and be good on Sunday. Giving up wine on sat nights or when I am out helps a lot. It definitely decreases my will power.
Ytu
Hi there, Sounds like you're doing great so far! Good to hear that you feel good and your sleep has improved. If you're not enjoying your salad for lunch - try having something else. I usually have dinner leftovers. It's hard to get out of the weekend wine habit. It has been for me, too. For me it was the glass of wine after work on Friday, to signal the start of the weekend. It gets easier with a couple of weekends under your belt! BJS12345
I actually haven't missed the wine because I feel so much better the following day when I drink water instead. It seriously made me lose my inhibitions and eat poorly when I had it. Thanks for the leftover suggestion for lunch. I'll see if I can break my salad habit for lunch!
